August 2007 - Diana Miller
Presented to Diana at the August cluster evening meeting at Dogwood Cottage. Diana was selected as the JLGC August 2007 Jalapeño Award recipient due to her hard work, passion, and initiative to organize a blood drive for 3 children in our St. Tammany Parish community. Diana was a provisional and this project was over and beyond her commitment with JLGC. Congratulations and thank you for spearheading such a worthwhile event.
September 2007 - Joyette Rhoden Joyette was chosen as the recipient due to her hard work in organizing the foundation of JLGC's business office at Dogwood Cottage. She has filed and computerly stored historical and present data for all committees so the incoming committee chairs and board members for next term will have records to refer while planning for the next year. Joyette is this year's league administrator and has dedicated numerous hours attending all board meetings and functions even though her position is not a board position. Joyette worked closely with Rebecca Doughtery as the RSVP person for our 30th Anniversary celebration at Benedict's. She is instrumental in the implementation of our new software Closerware that should streamline JLGC in maintaining information and progress of members as to their commitments and statistical tracking for publications.Outside her placement, she is volunteers with Career Corner and Teen Life Counts - A youth suicide prevention program for 8 years. October 2007 - Lisa Gros and Jane Dunn JLGC October Jalapeño Award recipients are Lisa Gros and Jane Dunn. Co- Chairs for Read for The Record Event that heighten literacy awareness in St. Tammany Parish involving over 30 private and public schools, 3 mayors, our Parish President, and many other community partners. Greatwork, ladies!
November 2007 - Rhoda Blaum Rhoda Blaum, Provisional was awarded at the November General Meeting at the Tap Room with the Jalapeño Award for her outstanding service going over and beyond as Clifford The Big Red Dog at Read for the Record, assistance in clean up and her CAN DO attitude at the Harvest Cup Polo. Way to go, Rhoda!
December 2007 - Niki Mann Niki has gone above and beyond her Provisional Requirements. She helped with Girls Health Day, Yuletides and with bulk mailing for the holiday invitations. She also picked up trash at Polo and worked up a sweat at Habitat for Humanity build. Niki is always smiling as she generously volunteers for JLGC.
