SMALL KIDS: SETTING A WORLD RECORD OF CHILDREN READING TOGETHER
The Junior League of Greater Covington Presents Jumpstart's Read for the Record 4th Annual Event on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at Koop Drive Kids Konnection Playground
Jumpstart’s Read for the Record brings national attention to the importance of preparing our children to read at an early age by organizing the world’s largest shared reading experience. Jumpstart’s Read for the Record campaign, and intensive early education program, puts books in the homes of children who need them most and focuses on helping them make gains in crucial language and literacy skills.
Jumpstart's Read for the Record 2010 has the forecast pointing to snow! This year’s official Campaign book is The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats.
On October 7, 2010, hundreds of thousands of people around the world will open Ezra Jack Keats’ book, The Snowy Day and read aloud to children in their communities. Pledge your time to share this tale with a child in your life, and together we’ll set a new record for the world’s largest shared reading experience - ever!
