Requirements

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

The Annual Dues of each member shall include the per capita dues charged the AJLI. Any increase in the per capita dues charged by AJLI shall automatically increase the membership dues of each member by that amount and shall be reported to the membership. Annual dues are due March 15th of each year and will be considered delinquent after March 15th and will incur a$15.00 late fee. A member shall be subject to removal if dues are not paid by June 1st.

  1. Provisional – A Provisional member must sign a written agreement to complete the following:
  1. Complete a Provisional Orientation Course including requirements for community placement, fund development project(s), special assignments and other requirements as approved by the Board;
  2. Attend a minimum of two (2) general meetings; in addition to one Fall (October) business meeting and the Annual business meeting in the Spring (March).
  3. Meet all financial requirements.  Those requirements are:
  1. Provisional Fee – A onetime fee of $50.00 due upon acceptance for application for membership;
  2. Annual dues of $120.00 are payable upon acceptance of application for membership;
  3. Harvest Cup financial obligation option available to provisional members to either:
    1. Purchase one ticket to Harvest Cup Polo Classic, or
    2. Cash donation of equal value, or
    3. Secure sponsorship for a minimum of a reserved table for six at Harvest Cup Polo Classic.  Option C must be approved by the event Chairs and/or Fund Development Vice President prior to any solicitations.  Credit for Option C may not be shared with another League member, and membership will be provided with information and/or training to assist if necessary.
  4. Active – an Active member must sign a written placement agreement and complete the following:
  1. Complete a total of 48 volunteer hours to include 30 hours in Community or in-League placement, 8 hours in a Children’s Museum placement, one Harvest Cup Polo Classic Shift (2 hours), one Sudden Impact shift (4 hours) and one Roux To Do shift (4 hours).
  2. First year Actives are expected to serve their first year in a Community Placement, subject to the same 30 volunteer hour requirement, unless otherwise appointed by the President.
  3. Attend a minimum of two (2) general membership meetings, in addition to one Business meeting in the Fall (October) and the Annual Business Meeting in the Spring (March);
  4. Meet all financial requirements as follows:

  2. Dues not paid by March 15th will be considered delinquent and will incur an additional $15.00 late fee;
  3. Harvest Cup Polo Classic financial obligation Options available to membership:
    1. Purchase one (1) ticket to Harvest Cup Polo Classic or;
    2. Cash donation of equal value or;
    3. Secure sponsorship for a minimum of a reserved table for six at Harvest Cup Polo Classic.  Option C must be approved by the event chairs and/or Fund Development Vice President prior to any solicitations. Credit for Option C may not be shared with another League member, and membership will be provided with information/training to assist if necessary.
  4. Roux to Do financial obligation Options available to membership:
    1. Purchase 1 case of 10 books at a onetime special league price of $16.95 per book or $169.50. This price is only available during your obligation year.  Individual members shall not sell copies of Roux to Do for amounts in excess of members purchase price; or
    2. Purchase five (5) books at retail price of $24.95 per book or $124.75; which does not need to be purchased all at once, but must be completed by the end of their obligation year; or
    3. Open one (1) wholesale account after being trained on procedures of wholesale accounts. This must be pre-approved by RTD chair, co-chair, or Fund Development VP.

Each member should choose one option for a one timeRoux to Do purchase requirement to be completed by the end of her first active year which is May 31st. She may begin this requirement during her provisional year. *Transfer actives shall have two years to complete this one time requirement.

  1. Complete one of the following Roux to Do work requirements:
  1. Work one (4) four hour shift at a special event and cook one menu item for a special event, or
  2. Work two (4) four hour shifts at a special event which may be scheduled at two different special events during the year, or
  3. Pay $35.00 for one shift of a special event and/or $15.00 for one menu item, or
  4. Open one NEW wholesale account each year with approval of RTD chair. 12 books/1 case must be sold to open a wholesale account.
  5. Work a RTD mini placement for a total of 8 hours to be approved by the RTD Chair (equal to 2 shifts).  Members have one year to complete the mini placement.

Complete one of the following Attic Sale Requirements

  1. Donate $75 worth of merchandise, at thrift store prices, to be determined by the Attic Sale Committee.
  2. Pay $40 in place of the merchandise donation.

 

  1. Lagniappe Active – a Lagniappe Active shall:
  1. Complete a special Lagniappe placement (community or in-League) as approved by the Board;
  2. Attend the two Business Meetings of the League;
  3. Pay annual dues of $120.00 by March 15th.  Dues are due March 15th of each year and will be considered delinquent after March 15th.  A member shall be subject to removal if dues are not paid by June 1st;
  4. Dues not paid by March 15th will be considered delinquent and will incur an additional $15.00 late fee.
  1. Sustainers – a Sustainer shall:
  1. Pay annual dues of $95.00 by March 15th.  Dues are due March 15th of each year and will be considered delinquent after March 15th.  A member shall be subject to removal if dues are not paid by June 1st.
