Blanche McCloskey’s picturesque country home was the setting for the Junior League of Greater Covington’s Holiday Brunch on Dec. 5.
President Patti Oppenheim welcomed founders, past presidents and transfer members. After guests enjoyed sipping and socializing, delicious food was presented with panache in a beautifully decorated dining room.
Past President Karen Courtney gave a brief history of the league, with the emphasis of the impact that the league has had on the community. She listed endeavors that were launched by the league, including the YMCA, Meals on Wheels, the Children’s Museum, the Youth Service Bureau, the Northlake Nature Center, Highway 190 Beautification, the Tree Alliance, PRIDE, HOST for Hospice, Toys for Tots and the Parenting Center.
Founder and first President Martha Green installed as members Allyson Byrd, Catherine Adams, Amy Carey, Edna Chism, Christina Clark, Brittani Coco, Gayle Fransen, Whitney Gower, Virginia Klucznik, Christina Kramer, Virginia Lang, Tabita Moeller, Janet Neidermeier, Cecil Patton, Jennifer Rabb, Anna Scheffy and Kayla Tolar.
