28 Oct Project Prom & Project Homecoming
Project Prom and Project Homecoming reach out to students in local high schools who may not be able to afford an expensive formal dress, and all the associated accessories. Donations of dresses, accessories, and shoes are solicited from members and local businesses. Student are invited to the Junior League House to peruse our boutique, and take home a dress at no charge!
In 2015, Project Prom solidified itself as one of the most well-attended projects conducted by JLGC. JLGC welcomed over 90 students into Dogwood Cottage, and said goodbye to over 110 dresses, 20 pairs of shoes, and 120 pieces of jewelry and accessories. Due to the overwhelming response to the project, we launched Project Homecoming in Fall 2015.
